Assistant Manager, Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Engineering supports the Engineering department of One&Only Le Saint Géran by handling administrative duties and ensuring all repair and maintenance activities meet hotel standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Organise engineering administration, stock control, and spare‑part storage; prepare monthly and statistical reports on works, energy and water consumption.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programmes, manage repair work priorities, and ensure all manuals, certificates and as‑built drawings are up‑to‑date.
• Control invoices for installations, tools and materials, and maintain an engineering store with accurate records of incoming and outgoing items.
• Ensure fire certificates are current, uphold health and safety legislation, and coordinate safety measures during maintenance activities.
• Foster employee relations, assess training needs, and deliver engineering‑related training and fire‑safety sessions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment, preferably with knowledge of guest‑room, public‑area and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Ability to lead a team, manage budgets and plan maintenance projects.
