Internal Control & Compliance Officer

About the role

Floreal Group, a knitwear manufacturer with about 3,000 employees, is looking for an Internal Control & Compliance Officer to join its Finance team. The role covers internal controls, compliance risk management, adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements and the promotion of good governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing internal audit assignments across departments
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend practical solutions to mitigate risks
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation
• Support risk assessments and help develop risk registers
• Collaborate with departments to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness
• Maintain compliance and risk platforms so that legal and regulatory requirements are met completely and accurately
• Assist in monitoring and managing credit and currency risks
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives
• Assist in developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in internal controls, risk, compliance or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA is an advantage but not mandatory
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an advantage

Required skills

• Understanding of internal audit methodologies and risk management frameworks
• Knowledge of SOX/ICFR is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
