Junior Accountant – Financial Services

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join the Finance Department to help maintain accurate financial records and support statutory compliance. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting and assist with tax and regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Record and process financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial and operational reports.
• Support tax return preparation and file statutory returns such as APS, VAT and TDS.
• Monitor debtor and creditor accounts, follow up on outstanding receivables and verify payment instructions.
• Reconcile inter‑company balances and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Respond to audit requests and liaise with local and international banks.
• Assist with finance‑related projects and ad‑hoc duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• ACCA Level 2 and/or 3 (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Previous accounting experience or internship is desirable.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
• Professional integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
