Junior Accountant – Management Accounts & Tax

About the role
Apex Group is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support the preparation of management accounts, financial statements and tax computations for its Mauritius clients. This role offers exposure to IFRS reporting and interaction with auditors.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management accounts after completing bookkeeping in the accounting software.
- Draft annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for audit and statutory filing.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
- Calculate tax liabilities in line with Mauritius Income Tax Laws.
- Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries and attend meetings.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of accounting experience.
- ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work extra hours when required.
- Effective interpersonal communication and teamwork.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
