Relationship Executive / Manager – Corporate & Institutional Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Relationship Executive and a Relationship Manager to join the Natural Resources Finance team within MCB’s Corporate & Institutional Banking division. The roles focus on delivering tailored financing solutions to mid‑stream and upstream oil & gas clients across Africa, supporting new business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate with the Relationship Manager to service existing clients and build a robust deal pipeline.
• Provide customized financing solutions, participate in structuring initiatives and sales strategies, and attend client meetings and overseas trips as required.
• Open new accounts and conduct KYC reviews to ensure compliance.
• Work with Credit Analysis, Middle Office, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to prepare credit applications and memos for sanctioning.
• Conduct first‑level appraisal of prospective customers or deals and forward relevant information to CIB product teams.
• Prepare and maintain high‑quality presentations and portfolio updates to monitor performance and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong sectorial and financial expertise in corporate and institutional banking.
• Ability to develop and manage a deal pipeline and deliver client‑focused solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams including credit, risk, legal and compliance.
