Senior Associate - Assurance Valuation Unit

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Assurance Valuation Unit in Mauritius. You will assess the reasonableness of valuations and financial models, mainly for financial reporting and assurance engagements, locally and internationally, and may also take part in transaction valuations. The role sits at management level.

Key responsibilities

• Research the company being valued, understand its sector, evaluate its financial and commercial risks, and carry out forecast analysis
• Develop financial models that support fair and accurate valuations and valuation reviews
• Perform valuation analysis and help draft valuation reports for financial reporting needs
• Report internally and externally in meetings, using feedback to build self-awareness and address development areas
• Show critical thinking, seek varied situations and perspectives, and communicate clearly and constructively
• Build quality relationships and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Required profile

• University degree
• Working towards relevant industry qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or a Master's in Finance
• At least 1 year as a Senior Associate in assurance valuation reviews at a professional services firm, or at least 2 years in a Transactions, Financial Advisory, Investment, Corporate Banking, Asset Management, Investment Fund or M&A/Business Development role at a professional services, boutique advisory, bank, asset manager, fund or corporate team
• Experience in business valuation and financial modelling
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, teamwork under pressure and deadline management
• Willingness to travel for overseas assignments
