Compliance and Support Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader for our Compliance Monitoring Team within the Global Ethics and Independence department in Mauritius. The role focuses on operational leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and well‑documented compliance work that meets global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Gain in‑depth knowledge of BDO's independence technical manual and tools to support the Global Ethics & Independence team.
• Manage day‑to‑day departmental processes, providing operational guidance, coaching and technical support to team members.
• Maintain trackers, logs, dashboards and reports to give visibility on workload, performance, quality and risks.
• Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, consistency, quality and service delivery.
• Collaborate with other BDO Global team members and support preparation of management reports and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Compliance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in operational, compliance, risk or business support roles.
• 1–2 years experience supervising or leading a team.
• Proven ability to manage service delivery against deadlines, KPIs, SLAs and quality standards.
• Experience in stakeholder management across multiple teams or jurisdictions is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the IESBA Code of Ethics and auditor independence requirements is beneficial.
