Credit Analyst – Business Credit Team (Corporate & Institutional Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Credit Analyst to join our Business Credit Team within the Corporate & Institutional Banking Department. You will assess credit proposals, provide analytical direction, and help safeguard the bank’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare business credit papers with support from the Coverage Team and act as a facilitator across the credit approval process.
• Analyse credit proposals by reviewing client risk profiles, financial statements, ratios, repayment capability, security adequacy, and industry/country risks.
• Structure appropriate financial solutions and stay aligned with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Promote a client‑centric approach and build profitable business relationships.
• Attend client meetings, liaise on credit matters, and review facility agreements.
• Ensure recommendations to Credit Committees comply with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain service level agreements, conduct credit monitoring, covenant tracking, watchlist reporting, and annual reviews.
• Implement credit control measures, KYC compliance, and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve department goals and stay updated on market trends.

Required profile

• ACCA qualification or a degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification accepted by the bank.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking or the financial sector, specifically in credit analysis.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Central Bank guidelines and local legislation.
• Sound understanding of banking products and lending processes.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑management techniques.
• Highly numerate with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
