Finance Manager – Life & Pension

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Finance Manager to join our Life & Pension team. In this senior position you will lead a finance department, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic insights that drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts in line with IFRS and insurance regulations.
• Submit statutory, tax and regulatory returns on time.
• Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop annual and monthly budgets, perform variance analysis and implement cost‑control measures.
• Monitor key performance indicators to optimise department efficiency.
• Oversee payment approvals, safeguard assets and maintain strong financial governance.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five accounting professionals.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in management committees.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance.
• ACCA qualification (mandatory).
• 5+ years in a senior finance role, preferably within insurance or financial services.
• Proven leadership ability with strong stakeholder influence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with Oracle Financials.
• Understanding of reinsurance accounting.
• Advanced Excel and MS Word proficiency.
