Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our boutique hotel in Constance Sakoa, Mauritius. The role involves welcoming guests and ensuring smooth front‑office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Handle guest check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Process reservations, cancellations, amendments and room allocations.
• Provide accurate information regarding hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
• Handle guest requests, queries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to guest emails when required.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and other departments to meet guest requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all front office procedures are followed.
• Handle guest keys/cards and other front office documentation securely.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and professional appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of guest information at all times.
• Follow hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum School Certificate (SC) or equivalent.
• Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism or Front Office (advantage).
• Previous hotel or front office experience (advantage).
• Good knowledge of English and French.
• Basic computer knowledge.
