Senior Analyst, Cost of Sales Operations – Reconciliations

About the role

As a Senior Analyst in the Cost of Sales Operations team at Checkout.com, you will own the reconciliation of scheme fees across card schemes and other acquiring and issuing channels. You will go beyond routine processing by validating the financial story behind the data and recommending improvements that increase efficiency and auditability.

Key responsibilities

• Validate the financial narrative of Cost of Sales reconciliations and challenge data inputs for accuracy.
• Generate clear insights and explain data queries to internal partners.
• Identify gaps in existing processes and document efficiencies to reduce manual effort.
• Proactively manage workload, volunteering for projects aligned with department KPIs.
• Define and validate assumptions and methodologies to ensure audit‑ready reporting.
• Prioritise tasks based on stakeholder urgency and business impact.
• Introduce new controls and document detailed reconciliation processes to support scaling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role in financial services or payments processing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on end‑to‑end solutions.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with remote teams and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail when handling complex data sets.
• Proactive attitude, initiative‑taking and continuous learning mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline; or partial qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
