Stock Control Assistant

About the role
The Stock Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for white oil, black oil, LPG, additives, lubricants and related products. The role ensures daily reconciliation, monitors stock movements, and supports the finance and operations teams to prevent avoidable losses.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of white oil, black oil, LPG bulk, and additives.
- Calculate receipts and inter‑tank transfers for all product types upon tanker arrival.
- Raise purchase orders and process receipts in the Aspect system.
- Maintain positive stock balances in SAP and Omega at close of business.
- Participate in periodic stock counts, PPC, and month‑end stock closure activities.
- Verify bunker/barge sheets against customs documents and dispatch as needed.
- Prepare monthly loss/gain statements, broker/customs bills, and fee claims for finance.
- Act as backup for fuel, LPG, and lubricants stock control assistants.
Required profile
- A degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or a diploma with relevant experience.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience in depot operations, supply & distribution, or finance.
- Background in controls, compliance audit, and supervision.
- Ability to work independently, resolve complex issues, and collaborate in a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP (preferred).
