Trade & Commodity Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

Join the Trade and Commodity Finance Operations Strategic Business Unit of MCB and support the delivery, development and continuous improvement of trade finance solutions for both local and international clients. You will work with a range of trade finance products and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trade finance transactions following escalation procedures while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Verify and validate documents and transactions to mitigate financial and reputational risk.
• Monitor and respond to queries from customers, business lines and banks within defined timeframes.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and other departments to address operational risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field (or a Diploma with equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in trade finance (or 5 years for diploma holders).
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products, services and documentation.
• Passion for international markets, trade flows and economic trends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of letters of credit, standby letters of credit, guarantees, collections and financing instruments.
