About the role
Four Seasons is seeking a Pastry Commis 2 to join its luxury resort kitchen in Mauritius. This junior‑level position supports the Pastry Chef de Partie in preparing, producing and presenting a range of desserts and baked goods for guests in a high‑end hospitality setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare assigned pastry and dessert items with accuracy, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes (≈35% of time).
- Set up and maintain the workstation, organise ingredients and equipment for smooth service (≈20%).
- Monitor quality, taste, texture, portion size and plating to meet Four Seasons standards (≈15%).
- Assist and guide lower‑level commis staff, answer questions and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Required profile
- Junior‑level experience in a pastry or bakery environment, preferably within a hotel or resort.
- Demonstrated willingness to develop technical pastry knowledge and work under supervision.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, luxury hospitality setting.
