Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our hospitality team and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. You will work closely with department heads and HR to maintain payroll records, support budgeting, and answer employee queries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date payroll systems, including rostering, overtime approvals, and anomaly corrections on a weekly basis.
• Run weekly dummy payroll runs in Sicorax and Vipertex and provide forecast figures for analysis.
• Process monthly payroll variables, imports, validations, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Ensure accurate preparation and payment of salaries, maintaining pay, time‑keeping, and leave records.
• Act as the primary liaison for payroll audits, reporting, and HRMS integration.
• Support budgeting by monitoring payroll expenses and helping other departments improve procedures.
• Respond proactively to staff queries regarding pay and related matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
