Assistant Accountant - Fund Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Fund Accounting team. You will support the preparation of financial statements and management accounts for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the relevant accounting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post final bookkeeping entries required for financial statements and management accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, loan transactions, and bank movements for assigned clients.
• Create or amend supplier and loan cards as needed.
• Perform bank, investment and other reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of client VAT returns and basic tax returns.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to the Client Accounting team and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.
• Prepare simple annual financial statements and management accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Ocorian’s information security policies.
